He graduated with First Class Honours and was awarded the Ian Horsbrugh Memorial Prize for his orchestral work Serpetinata (2025). During his studies in London, he was supported by the Athena Scholarship (Mrs. Anna Weeks). He is now pursuing a master’s degree at the Kunstuniversität Graz with Franck Bedrossian.
Yianni’s music has been performed at venues including Milton Court, the Hellenic Centre, the Royal Academy of Music, and the Kunstuniversität Graz. He has collaborated with leading musicians such as Exaudi Vocal Ensemble, Heather Roche, Mira Benjamin, Ben Smith, Chris Brannick, and the Rothko Collective. His works are regularly featured in the annual concert series Nimata, sponsored by the Athena Scholarship, which highlights the work of emerging and established Greek musicians across Europe.
In February 2025, Yianni participated in the Impuls Festival, receiving lessons from composers Chaya Czernowin, Elena Mendoza, and Franck Bedrossian, as well as workshops and performances of his pieces, which were mentored by leading performers such as Charles Hodges and the Diotima Quartet. Beyond concert music, he enjoys collaborating with artists in film, fashion, and dance, and he is a passionate teacher of classical harmony.
